Lesley Ann Brandt and Maria Bartiromo
Lesley Ann Brandt (born December 2nd, 1981) is an South African actress, model and a TV personality. Brandt began her career in New Zealand with the sitcom Diplomatic immunity. Her American debut came with her character Naevia on the historical drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress was a part of numerous television series during the last decade including Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies and The Librarians. Brandt plays Mazikeen as a character from Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro's urban fantasy Lucifer. Brandt is originally from Cape Town South Africa, however, she moved with her parents to Auckland New Zealand in late the teen years. Brandt began her modeling career through appearances in commercials as well as in print ads. Prior to becoming an infamous model, she worked as a retail salesperson, and as a recruiter in the field of information technology. Her first starring performance in the year 2009 on the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity where she took on the character as Leilani Fa'auigaese. In 2021, she appeared on Spartacus Blood and Sand as a young slave girl named Naevia. In the miniseries Spartacus Gods of the Arena, she reprised the role as Naevia. Craig Parker and she co-starred in three television shows, Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). In 2016, Mazikeen was cast as the bounty hunter in the popular Netflix show Lucifer. This happens to be her biggest role to date. In the show, she co-stars alongside Tom Ellis Lauren French Kevin Alejandro D. B. Woodside.
Maria Bartiromo was the first American journalist to broadcast live on the New York Stock Exchange. She has been acclaimed by her many highly successful shows. A broadcasting veteran with over 20 years of experience covering economics and business, she was instrumental in establishing the TV channel CNBC as one of the topmost within the economic and business segment. The success of her journalistic career makes it seem like Maria was always meant for journalism. Yet as a young woman Maria was unsure of which career path to choose. Maria could one day decide to pursue a career as a musician, later an interior designer. Once she discovered the excitement and thrills that journalism brings, there was no turning back. In addition to being an outstanding journalist, but her fiery character also provides an example for other women who wish to achieve success in the male-dominated field. She was inducted as the first female television journalist and the fierce lady was included on the list of 50 Faces Who Shaped the Decade. She also is an author as well as a columnist.
