
Jennifer has always wanted to become a multi-tasking celebrity. As a child Jennifer was a fan of many different music styles, but she particularly loved Afro-Caribbean music like merengue, salsa and the bachata. She also loved mainstream music such as hip hop and R&B. While she was a fan of film, it was the industry of music that also intrigued her. The most influential film she was influenced by was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was more than just an entertainer. She also attended 8 years at a Catholic elementary school named Holy Family. Jennifer then was able to graduate after 4 years at Preston High School. In school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in tennis and track. When she was in Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story house. Jennifer left her home along with her parents at the age of 18. At the time, Lopez worked at a law firm and took dancing gigs at night.
